 Upcoming Trips
Should you decide to travel with us to the Northern Spain, you will come away with a real understanding of the region, its history, its food and its wine. And what very interesting stories the area has to tell. Our base will be a lovely house built in the traditional Basque farmhouse style in the middle of the Reserve of Biosphere of Urdaibai. The house has been completely modernized for use as a B&B. We will have the entire house to ourselves. Using this as our base we will be able to visit the world famous Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the wondrous city of San Sebastian with it taste tempting tapas, the wine region of Rioja as well as the wine museum of Briones and the wonderful coastal towns of both Spanish and French Basque. In addition to sampling the full bodied wines of Rioja and the delicious slightly bubbly wines of the Basque area we will pick up local seafood to enjoy. We are certain to come away with an appreciation for a region with tales worth understanding and appreciating.
The trip has been planned so that you will be able to fully enjoy yourself. Our small group will stay in a wonderful house that comes complete with excellent food, wine and beautiful surroundings. The trip will include fascinating historical sites as well as vineyards, markets and cooking classes to tie all the delicious flavors together.

The remaining payment is due 60 days before the trip (July 18). Make sure you have your airline tickets, and a valid passport. We will pick you up at a mutually agreed location in Bilbao and take care of your travel needs during the week we travel together.
